These motorcycle routes are among the best in the United States and will not disappoint.

1. Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), CA

One of the most iconic scenic roads in the US, the Pacific Coast Highway is a must-ride. Stretching for over 470 miles from Los Angeles to San Francisco, Pacific Coast Highway scenery includes dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean and its beaches and towering cliffs and mountains. Be sure to check out Big Sur during the ride.

2. Death Valley Loop, CA and NV

Do a scenic 280-mile loop across the infamous Badwater Basin lying at the lowest elevation in all of North America. Enjoy the unequalled otherworldly desert landscapes boasting Moon-like salt flats, sand dunes, and red rock outcroppings. Please keep in mind that it’s best to do this route in the fall or winter. The area has extremely hot temperatures during the summer. If you choose to do the route in the summer be sure to carry plenty of water and stop in the shade as often as you can.

3. Puget Sound, WA

Starting right outside of Seattle, the Puget Sound Loop takes you island-hopping across a maze of fjords, bays, and a jagged coastline framed by the scenic Mount Rainier. Be sure to check out charming little coastal towns, which as a bonus offer fantastic eats.

4. Florida Keys Scenic Highway, FL

Connecting Key Largo and Key West, this highway runs across 43 islands connected by long bridges and offers spectacular views of white sand beaches and turquoise water. Experience the ocean breeze, fresh sea air and Cuban and Bahamian influences. The Keys are well known for motorcycle-friendly restaurants, bars (including salsa bars) and hotels along the way.

5. Acadia, ME

Maine’s Acadia National Park, a 47,000-acre Atlantic coast recreation area primarily on Maine's Mount Desert Island, is a hidden gem for motorcycle riders. Take in the natural beauty of the highest rocky headlands along the Atlantic coastline. This route features curvy roads and leisurely coastal routes. Best times for the ride include the summer and fall seasons. Must-dos are exploring Bar Harbor and tasting local lobster, and visiting the Seal Cove Auto Museum which showcases a large collection of vintage cars and motorcycles.

Having the right gear to protect you and carry your belongings during your ride is key. Be ready with a durable, functional bag from Kitanica. Additionally, our Mark series jackets offer protection and durability.
